Two KB Clean and press/two hand swing combinations
Nice session! I love doing double 'bell work, as it really gets the heart pumping!
Btw, what do you wrap your hands with? I've been trying to get my wife into training with 'bells and she is deathly afraid of calluses, as she works in the beauty industry and can't have rough hands.
Any good tips I can pass along to her so I can convince her she can't avoid the 'bells anymore? :D
Yeah, my wife's an esthetician and she doesn't want to be a living pumice stone, as she does facials. :)
Btw, I've been a lurker on your site for some time, and I enjoy your writing. I'm trying to get my wife into training and I'm going to force her to read your blog. :D
Alot of conditioning, and fatloss, not to mention muscle tone can be gotten with just swings and swing combinations, never having to do snatches or cleans and presses! But high reps are key...and that can create calluses

richard,
ReplyDeleteI recently posted the details of my "sock sleeves"...I'll have to find that, it was posted last fall....because it's a question I get all the time.
But basically, I cut off the top portion of a crew sock and slip it over and around my palms, sometimes folding it half for double protection.
Snatches are really the only movements that can really tear up my hands, regardless, but the socks...for me....are crutial for my high reps workouts.
I also work in the beauty industry, as a manicurist for 25 years, but I don't care, my health and fitness are much more important than a few calluses!
Excellent tip, thanks Tracy.
